Report of Unwanted Party Leads to Fugitive from Justice Arrest in Stafford Connecticut

On 04/05/2024, Officers in Stafford responded to an address on School Street for a report of an unwanted male party.

 Upon arrival, the complainant explained that the accused, Marcus Lopez DOB 10/20/1993, of Stafford, CT was not welcome at the residence. 

 During the on-scene investigation, Officers learned that Lopez was the subject of a felony arrest warrant in connection with an alleged domestic violence assault and strangulation incident, held by the Southbridge, Massachusetts Police Department. Extradition was authorized for all states located within the continental U.S..

 After consulting with the corresponding District Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts, Stafford Officers took Lopez into custody as a Fugitive from Justice.

 Lopez was subsequently transported to Troop C in Tolland, where he was processed without incident. Lopez was held on a $500,000 bond and transported to Rockville Superior Court for same-day arraignment. Lopez will be held in Connecticut pending his extradition to Massachusetts.
