Connecticut State Police Arrest Three on Drug Charges Following Sting at Bus Station in New Britain

On 01/12/2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Detectives assigned to the Statewide Narcotics Task Force (SNTF) North Central Office, assisted members of Troop H – Hartford with a Narcotics Interdiction Operation at the New Britain CT Fastrak Bus Station.

Troopers assigned to the CT Fastrak conducted surveillance in the area and observed activities consistent with hand-to-hand narcotics transactions take place. The Troopers’ observations, including suspect descriptions, were relayed to nearby Detectives and Troopers who converged on the area of the bus station and detained three individuals observed conducting suspected narcotics transactions. In an effort to thwart Detectives and Troopers approaching the station, additional unidentified individuals observed to be involved in the suspected transactions entered a CT Fastrak bus and attempted to conceal narcotics on the bus.

CT State Police K-9 “General” was deployed and located hidden narcotics underneath seats on the bus.  As a result, Detectives seized 16 bundles of suspected Heroin/Fentanyl, 17 Oxycodone Pills, narcotics paraphernalia, and over $400.00 in cash proceeds from the sale of narcotics.
